According to Defence Ministry spokesperson Martina Kovaľ Kakaščíková, the Ministry has acted responsibly, safely and in accordance with requirements when storing biological hazardous waste that was generated during the mass coronavirus testing. "We're fully aware that due attention needs to be paid when handling biological waste that could be contaminated by any disease. Therefore, we store it in such a way that there is absolutely no danger to the public or the environment," said Defence Minister Jaroslav Naď (OLaNO). Waste from the testing is now being stored in a locked and secured hangar in the Mokrad military area (Zilina region). It can be stored in this way for up to one year.
