The hearing of candidates for the Prosecutor General began on Thursday. The parliament's Constitutional Committee as well as the representatives of the presidential palace grill the seven candidates interested in the position. Seven candidates in question are Jozef Čentéš, Tomáš Honz, Ján Hrivnák, Juraj Kliment, Ján Šanta, Rastislav Remeta and Maroš Žilinka. The hearing will continue also on Friday (November 20). Parliament is due to elect the head of prosecutors at a session beginning on 24 November. The Prosecutor General is in the end appointed by the President.
