The coronavirus pandemic, the EU's multiannual financial framework and recovery fund as well as terrorism were high on the agenda of Monday's online session between the foreign affairs ministers of Slovakia, Austria and the Czech Republic under the Slavkov format (S3), announced Slovak Foreign Minister Ivan Korčok on the same day.
Korčok explained that he informed his counterparts about the anti-virus measures that Slovakia has recently adopted. Austria's foreign minister Karoline Edtstadler praised Slovakia for sharing its mass testing experience with her country, stating that even the stable Austrian health-care system could collapse under pressure from COVID-19. Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz recently stated that carrying out mass testing in the country could be a solution to the problem.
As for the multiannual financial framework and the recovery fund, Korcok stated that Slovakia is content with the compromise that was achieved by Germany's presidency of the Council of the European Union and the European Parliament.
