Border controls to be based on European “traffic light” system

Starting on 15 November, Slovakia will employ the European "traffic light" system. Therefore, all the countries marked as red by the European Centre for Disease Control will automatically become red at the Slovak "traffic light" too, announced Health Minister Marek Krajčí for the private news channel TA3. This means that people arriving in Slovakia from red countries will have to have a negative COVID-19 test or undergo quarantine. Nevertheless, Krajčí added that at some border crossing points, travellers should have the option to have a fast antigen test done. This will be subject to a fee, however, as the service is to be provided by private companies.
