One percent test positive in mass-testing event

A total of 3,625,332 people attended the mass-testing event with antigen tests held at the weekend in Slovakia. Out of all tested people 38,359 or 1.06 percent had a positive result. The lowest rates of positive results were recorded in the ditricts of Revúca, Banská Štiavnica and Rožňava all with 0.2 percent. The highest was recorded in the Čadca district at 3.2 percent followed by Stará Ľubovňa at 2.8 percent and Púchov with 2.65 percent

The event targeted all inhabitants older than 10 but with many exemptions in place (eg. those who tested positive in the past 90 days, people with various diagnoses, those over 65 years of age  who do not live in a retirement home). Those who cannot provide a negative test result be it from this event or from a PCR test from a private lab not older than October 29th have to self-quarantine and face restrictions on free movement this week.
