By the end of the next year Slovakia will still need to have absorbed €5.47 billion from European Union funds. This equates to 47.1 percent of the total allocation for the current programming period. The Operational Programs known as Informatisation of Society, Education, and also Research & Development are the worst performers when it comes to the absorption of funds.
