The Transport Ministry has confirmed that private hotels might be used to quarantine patients with positive covid-19 tests. While in spring, during the first wave of the pandemic, the ordered state quarantine was aimed especially at those returning from abroad, now the stay in such quarantine will be voluntary and the client will pay for it. Some hotels already offer quarantine stays, yet prices climb to hundreds of euros. In April, people in the state facilities paid only for food costs - about 13 euro per day. The Transport Minister Andrej Doležal now plans to negotiate with hotel associations. While a hotel is in a quarantine mode, it will not be able to accommodate other guests.
