Compensation for those affected by the coronavirus crisis inasmuch as it made it impossible for them to work normally aren't being slowed down by processes in Brussels, but by the fact that Slovakia is sending few requests, Slovak MEP Michal Simecka (Progressive Slovakia) posted on a social network on Tuesday.
The MEP pointed out that the EU has eased its own rules and simplified the process even more after the first wave of the novel coronavirus pandemic, and that the problem, therefore, is somewhere else. "According to the current list, Slovakia has obtained authorisation for five state aid schemes. For comparison - Hungary and the Czech Republic have 14 schemes approved, Lithuania 13, Latvia 11, and so on," added Simecka.
