The Government hasn't learnt its lesson from the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic, as the Cabinet of Igor Matovič is failing to stabilise the situation in a way that would cause the least of amount of damage in the area of business, according to the Slovak Business Association. The association expected that businesses would be able to express their views on the recently adopted measures and that their experience from the first wave would be taken into consideration, but businesses still lack information about possible scenarios that would reveal what kinds of measures they can expect and how they will be compensated. According to a survey carried out by the association, a considerable number of businesses, especially those in the sectors that have been impacted the most, don't have sufficient reserves. Although the summer season was an improvement as compared to the spring, they weren't able to make up for the losses they suffered during the first wave of the virus, or create reserves for the future.
