Justice Ministry collects data on the workload of judges

The Justice Ministry has begun to collect data as of Monday to measure the workload of judges in Slovakia, with the aim of boosting transparency and evening out the workload between judges of regional and district courts, according to ministry spokesperson Peter Bubla. This will give the ministry the ability to determine how time-consuming are individual cases, and what is the appropriate time frame on average for settling them. The data will provide a springboard for the allocation of finances and personnel in order so as to reflect the varying difficulty of cases. The collection of data is planned to continue until November 22nd, 2020.
