President Zuzana Čaputová called on citizens to dedicate the current Month of Respect for the Elders to their protection. "Let's not alleviate the situation we are all in and wear face masks wherever it is needed," she wrote on her social network profile. According to Čaputová, due to the rising number of people infected with COVID-19, the risk for the most vulnerable - seniors - is growing. "It takes seconds to put on the mask, remember to distance, and use disinfection. Seconds can mean years of life for the most vulnerable, lives that do not end prematurely. So our seconds today mean years of life for others," stated the head of state.
