Slovak Foreign Minister Ivan Korcok (an SaS nominee) on Thursday decided to recall the head of the Slovak diplomatic mission in Belarus for consultations in Bratislava, the minister stated on Twitter on the same day. The move serves as an expression of solidarity with Poland and Lithuania, which recently recalled their ambassadors from Belarus. "The moves made by the Belarusian authorities against EU-member countries are unacceptable. The EU is united in its support of the people of Belarus," stated Korcok. Slovakia has not had an ambassador in Minsk since May, when then ambassador Jozef Migas asked to be relieved of his duties.
