The Slovak Public Health Office (ÚVZ) breached the law when issuing restrictive measures during the emergency situation for the coronavirus pandemic declared in March, according to the General Prosecutor's Office (GP) which sent a warning to the office last week.
The violation of the law is related in particular to the insufficient material scope of the office to issue measures after the declaration of an extraordinary situation and state of emergency, as well as to the legal form of these measures.
A spokesperson for the Public Health Office told TASR press agency they would react to the General Prosecutor's warning after they analyse the document.
