Public Ombudswoman Maria Patakyova will submit an extraordinary report on environmental burdens to Parliament, as she finds the inaction of relevant authorities in the matter alarming, TASR learnt on Thursday. Patakyova pointed to a recent survey on past environmental burdens which established that in 73 out of 152 monitored cases, when the authorities failed to take action, the right to protect public health and the right to a favourable environment had been violated.
