Slovakia's capital Bratislava joins the Climathon global initiative, whose aim is to raise awareness of climate change and to trigger active civic participation in solving the related challenges. As part of it, from November 13 to 15 people will have a chance to take part in a so called "72 hour online hackatron" with the aim of creating solutions to help the city to tackle the impacts of climate change. As well as Bratislava's inhabitants, even people from other cities, towns and villages will have a chance to join in - form teams and work under experienced mentors. One challenge will be to motivate people living in the city to take part in the change, the other should be tackling the problem of low use of eco-friendly solutions in public transport. Climathon is a global event, which involves more than 145 cities from 56 countries.
