NAKA raids Slovak Ice Hockey Association

The National Criminal Agency (NAKA) is in the process of carrying out a raid at the headquarters of the Slovak Ice Hockey Association (SZLH), Police Corps spokesman Michal Slivka confirmed on Tuesday. "NAKA is performing procedural acts in connection with a public procurement at the Slovak Ice Hockey Association," said Slivka, adding that the police will provide more detail as soon as the situation allows.

"We've handed over all requested documents, and several of our employees, including the head of the economic department, have already provided their testimonies. The association has new leadership, which is transparent and open to any inspection that might help to purge Slovak ice hockey of its failures from the past. The leadership of SZLH has already carried out several personnel replacements in this spirit, and it's ready to continue based on the results of the investigation," reads the official statement provided by SZLH.
