If a general election had been held these days, the largest governing coalition party Ordinary People would have won it with 17% of the votes, according to a poll conducted by the Median SK agency on behalf of public-service broadcaster RTVS. Former-Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini's emerging Voice-SD party would be second with 16.9% followed by the junior governing Freedom and Solidarity party on 11.9%. The Opposition Smer-SD party would have taken fourth place on 9.1%, followed by the far-right People's Party Our Slovakia on 8.8%, We Are Family on 8.7% and Progressive Slovakia on 6.6%. All other parties would be left out of the parliament.
The Christian Democratic Movement (KDH) would have garnered 4.2% and the smallest governing For the People 3.4%. The Slovak National Party and Homeland would have been elected by 2.5% of the people polled. The ethnic-Hungarian Coalition party would have received 2.3%, Good Choice 1.8%, Together-OD 1.3% and Socialisti.sk 1.2%. according to a poll conducted by Median SK agency on behalf of public-service broadcaster RTVS.
The poll was carried out on a sample of 1,007 respondents between September 14-18.
