More money coming for nuclear reactors

The shareholders of the Slovak power utility Slovenské Elektrárne, as well as the Slovak government, and the Italian energy company Enel, have finally agreed to provide the additional funding necessary for the completion of the third and fourth units of the Nuclear Power Plant in Mochovce.

Spokeswoman for Slovenské Elektrárne Janka Burdová informed the SITA news agency about this achieved agreement. At a general meeting on Tuesday, shareholders approved approximately €400 million in additional funds for the completion of the reactors, for which construction had stalled due to a funding shortfall.
