The amended residence act introduces a 30-day protection period after the termination of the employment of foreigners who need a work permit in Slovakia and for foreign students after finishing their studies in this country. The Foreign Police are now obliged to provide the applicant with a written notice on any missing documents that need to be submitted with their application.
