We urge Slovak authorities to investigate the murders of journalist Jan Kuciak and his fiancee Martina Kusnirova and bring the perpetrators to justice, European Commission Vice-president for Values and Transparency Vera Jourova posted on Twitter on Thursday. She had followed the case also during her previous mandate as the Euro-commissioner for Justice (2014-19),
"We condemned the murders … in the strongest terms and called upon the Slovak authorities to investigate and bring the persons responsible to justice. This expectation has not changed. We understand that the judicial proceedings are not final yet," Jourova posted on behalf of the European Commission on Twitter.
