Approximately 693,000 pupils returned to school on Wednesday, with the 2020/2021 school year beginning on the same day. As with the second half of the previous school year, this year will be overshadowed by the coronavirus outbreak. Several hygiene measures will have to be observed at schools.
In connection with this, the Education Ministry has stated it doesn't intend to adopt across-the-board anti-virus measures at schools, and aims to intervene only at the local level if need be.
