Interior Ministry rewards front line employees

Over 10,500 employees of the Interior Ministry will receive bonuses for working in the front line during the coronavirus outbreak. "Bonuses will be paid to police officers, firefighters and civilian employees who were in direct danger, but also to those who provided necessary support activities to combat the outbreak," stated the ministry's press department. In mid-August, PM Igor Matovič (OĽaNO) announced that the state would allocate 50 million for those working in high-risk environments during the outbreak. Money should also go to doctors, nurses, soldiers and employees of social service homes. The decision was made based on favourable economic and public health trends. The allocated money is shared between four ministries - health, interior, defence and labour, social affairs and the family.
