Friday's video conference of European Union (EU) foreign ministers will decide what restrictive measures will be taken against Belarus, said the Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Minister Ivan Korcok (SaS nominee). According to him, the way in which Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko organized the elections is absolutely unacceptable. Korcok pointed out that during the campaign before the presidential elections in Belarus he addressed several challenges to Lukashenko. According to him, it was already clear at that time what "type of elections" he was preparing. The minister pointed out that the heads of European diplomacy should "at least" send a clear signal about a unified position of the EU.
