Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajčák will open another Consular Office in Ukraine and the first Representative Office in Georgia this week, on 7 and 8 of April. On the first day of his visit, he’ll visit Odessa to take part in the ceremonial opening of the Consulate led by Honorary Consul Mykhail Muzalov.
Aside from Odessa, Slovakia has already set up Consular Offices in Donetsk and Velykyi Bereznyi and a General Consulate in Uzhhorod. The Foreign Minister will then travel to Georgia at the invitation of the Georgian counterpart Maia Panjikidze to officially open Slovakia's Representative Office, which actually began functioning on 24 March. The Embassy Office is based in the EU Delegation building in Tbilisi. “There is a quite dynamic political dialogue between Slovakia and Georgia, and the purpose of Minister Lajčák‘s visit is to secure its continuous development,” reads the ministry's press release.
