Deputy Interior Minister quits, due to take up seat in house

At a Government session on Wednesday, Lukas Kyselica formally quit as Interior Ministry state secretary in response to reports that he was a member of Military Intelligence during the campaign for February's general election. Kyselica - who was running as the number three candidate on OLaNO's slate - now wants to take up a seat in Parliament, claiming that the public expressed trust in him in the election. He has refused to provide an explanation of his activities at Military Intelligence to the parliamentary defence and security committee, with several MPs also noting that this body isn't supposed to deal with such issues anyway.
