The Head of the Specialised Criminal Court's (STS) senate, Ružena Sabová, has cancelled Wednesday's session, at which the senate was supposed to announce its verdict in the case of the murders of journalist Jan Kuciak and his fiancee Martina Kusnirova, citing the need for continuing consultations on the judgement. The session has been postponed until 3 September.
According to both Daniel Lipsic, the lawyer for the bereaved, and Marek Para, the lawyer for defendant Marán Kočner, the cancellation is understandable given the severity of the case.
