The National Criminal Agency (NAKA) cooperates with 38 foreign states in resolving the cases they work on within Slovakia. In the first half of this year, NAKA worked on the highest number cases in its history. Those focused mainly on the corruption of public officials. The director of NAKA, Branislav Zurian, considers it a satisfactory result that they are charging 26 public officials with corruption crimes. According to him it is the anti-corruption agenda that the public cried for the most. This was followed by actions focusing on economic crimes (22), violent crimes (19) and 18 drug actions.
