Juraj Novocký, one of the prosecutors in the murder case of investigative journalist Jan Kuciak and his fiancée, was officially confirmed by the Council of the European Union on Monday as Slovakia's representative at the European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO). An expert on organised crime and terrorism, he has represented Slovakia in various international posts, inter alia as an assistant to Slovakia's Eurojust member and as a national reporter for Eurojust on terrorism. He's also been a reviewer for several international bodies, including the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and the Council of Europe's anti-corruption body Group of States against Corruption (GRECO).
