Slovak Economy Minister Tomas Malatinský and his Albanian counterpart Arben Ahmetov on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding in economic, trade and business co-operation, announced Economy Ministry spokesman Stanislav Jurikovič.
“The memorandum should provide contractual support for activating bilateral economic co-operation between Slovakia and Albania at the level of state bodies and other institutions, and especially at the entrepreneurial level ... at the same time, we want to pass on Slovakia's experience in specific areas of interest of the Albanian side via expert consultations between Slovak and Albanian institutions,” said Malatinský. The Albanian representatives said that they are interested in Slovakia's experience in terms of support of investments, support for small and medium-sized enterprises and tax policy.
