The Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Slovakia Andrew Garth is ending his diplomatic mission in Slovakia after six years. "I thanked him for his work in developing relations between Slovakia and the United Kingdom and also in promoting the rule of law and democracy. We agreed that despite Brexit, both countries remain close allies and partners," said Slovak President Zuzana Čaputová. "In this context, I was also interested in the reasons for not including Slovakia among the safe countries for visiting the United Kingdom, as we still have the development of the coronavirus pandemic in our country under control," said Čaputová. The ambassador told her that the decision is to be reassessed in the coming days.
