Diplomats support LGBTI+ community in Slovakia

The diplomatic community in Slovakia represented by 37 embassies signed a document in which they confirmed their commitment to protecting and defending the human rights of all, thus supporting the LGBTI+ community in Slovakia. Moreover, the governor of the Bratislava Region, Juraj Droba, and the mayor of Bratislava, Matúš Vallo, also joined the initiative. "Everyone is born free and equal in dignity and rights without any distinction, as stated in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Our governments have recognized this fundamental truth and we clearly stand for the LGBTI + community and the right of all to exercise their universal freedoms. We also share the principles of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation," states the diplomatic community in Slovakia.
