European Commission awards Slovak Academy of Sciences with HR Excellence in Research

The Slovak Academy of Sciences has become the first scientific body in Slovakia to gain the HR Excellence in Research brand. European Commission grants this status to institutions observing the 40 principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity. "The Slovak Academy of Sciences and its institutions will open their doors even more widely to foreign researchers and make it easier for them to deal with the processes that are usually complicated for foreigners," said Zuzana Hrabovská from the Academy's Science and Research Department. According to Hrabovská, the processes of hiring research staff will be aligned with the principles of open, transparent and fair hiring and they will include a stress on high quality work conditions and career growth.
