Slovak and Slovenian Presidents to open joint business forum

Slovak President Zuzana Caputova and her Slovenian counterpart Borut Pahor are to open a joint business forum on innovation on Wednesday, July 22. According to Caputova's spokesman Martin Strizinec, this initiative of the Slovak head of state aims to create space for more active co-operation and new opportunities for Slovak entrepreneurs in sectors that are key to Slovakia's modernisation.

The joint Slovak-Slovenian business forum will therefore focus thematically on companies that are developing specific solutions in the field of innovative and environmentally sustainable production and services. Companies operating in the field of electro-mobility and its charging infrastructure, in the more environmentally friendly production of materials and plastics, waste management, automation and digitisation, will be presented.

According to the Slovak president, the circular economy, clean mobility, and digitisation are topics that should be among Slovakia's priorities in the coming years, if we want to take full advantage of the historic opportunity offered by the EU's Recovery Plan.
