The Registered Unemployment rate in Slovakia rose in June to 7.4% from 7.2% in May, thus recording a consecutive six month growth. In February 2020, the registered unemployment rate was at the level of 5.05%. However, the job offices registered a very mild increase in vacancies, after three months of fall. In June, the Finance Ministry estimated that the Unemployment rate in Slovakia would rise to 8.2% in 2020 and should decline in the following years.
