The R7 expressway and part of the D4 motorway, which constitute the new Bratislava bypass project, will be opened on Sunday July 19. The concerned stretches include the Ketelec-Dunajská Lužná, Dunajská Lužná-Holice and Ketelec-Rovinka connections. The construction project is one of the largest public-private partnership projects in Europe. The Construction general manager Michael Heerdt stated the handover of R7 expressway will bring faster, safer and more comfortable commuting not only for people living in the Žitný Ostrov area but also for transit traffic.
