Activists submit petition for the ban of gambling in Bratislava

Activists of the Let's Stop Gambling initiative submitted to the city of Bratislava a new petition calling for a gambling ban with more than 104,000 signatures on Wednesday. Michal Makovník from the initiative voiced his hope that the city administration would approach the petition responsibly and observe all legal procedures and deadlines to avoid the petition being challenged in the courts. "We hope that the gambling ban in Bratislava will be introduced as quickly as it was in Nitra," said Makovník. The activists collected the bulk of the signatures on February 29, during the election day.
