“We are family” to leave coalition if leader forced to resign

Speaker of Parliament Boris Kollar (We Are Family) conceded on Wednesday that his party could leave the governing coalition in reaction to the scandal concerning plagiarism in his master's thesis. He mentioned such a possibility before his meeting with the Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) caucus which later called on him to resign from the post of Speaker of Parliament. The Chairman of the Freedom and Solidarity Party, a junior member of the governing coalition, Richard Sulik emphasised that they would not overthrow the governing coalition, adding that they respect the right of the We Are Family party to the post of parliamentary chair.
