On Wednesday, President Zuzana Čaputová appointed Deputy Prime Minister Veronika Remišová (For the People party) as head of the newly created Ministry of Investments, Regional Development and Informatisation. Čaputová stressed that Remišová is taking over a ministry that can play a key part in transforming Slovakia. The new ministry will look after the use of Euro Funds, assume the responsibilities of the Office of Deputy Prime Minister for Investments and Informatisation as well as the Agriculture Ministry's duties concerning the development of regions, which will start to fall under the new Ministry as of October 1.
