Former Constitutional Court chairman Ján Mazák was elected by the Judicial Council as its new head on Monday. He has replaced Lenka Praženková, who resigned recently following a lengthy deliberation. Mazák, who in the past also served as an advisor for then president Andrej Kiska (2015-2019), was proposed for the post by members of the Judicial Council nominated by all relevant powers, including the judiciary, parliament, government and president.
