Prospects for university graduates have worsened

The current situation is not working in favour of university graduates, Nikola Richterová of the career website Profesia.sk informed on Thursday. A ranking on their website indicates that fresh graduates are facing a more difficult situation when applying for jobs than they were a few years ago. "Companies are most interested in IT graduates, but the struggle between companies for newly graduated people has changed significantly, with interest waning," said Richterova. An even more significant drop in interest can be seen in other fields. Meanwhile, there is lower interest in graduates in all fields of study. "However, a decline in interest in jobseekers among companies can be observed in general. The situation isn't therefore limited to graduates. Changes in the labour market are behind this," said Richterová.
