Consumer prices increased by 2 percent year-on-year in May with the growth being chiefly driven by education, foodstuffs, non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages and financial services (banking fees), the Statistics Office reported on Monday. Prices of education posted an annual growth of 5 percent, while the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages went up by 4.8 percent. Conversely, prices in transport fell by 7.6 percent.
