Knife-attack at primary school in Vrútky leaves two dead and several injured

A 22-year-old man from Martin attacked the staff at the primary school in Vrútky (Žilina region). The young man stabbed and killed the vice-principal, who was preventing him from entering the school, confirmed police president Milan Lučanský. After the attacker managed to enter the school, he went to a classroom, where he severely injured a teacher and two children. The police shot the attacker dead. According to the paramedics' spokesperson Alena Krčová, five people were injured, including the principal and two children.
