President Zuzana Čaputová on Wednesday received economics experts at the Presidential Palace in order to debate the impact of the current economic situation on the rate of unemployment. Based on various analyses, Slovakia is one of the EU countries with the steepest economic slump given its dependence on foreign trade, which is in decline all around the globe. According to the Slovak president, the EU's recovery package can help Slovakia tremendously in revamping the economy. "If we want to be a greener, more modern and educated country, this is our opportunity. In order to invest the resources from the EU wisely and effectively, we need to determine our goals and find a society-wide consensus on them," she remarked.
