Kollar in Prague on voting from abroad

The Slovak governing coalition is to discuss whether or not it will enable Slovaks living in the Czech Republic to vote in Slovak elections at diplomatic missions located there, Slovak Parliamentary Chair Boris Kollar (We Are Family) confirmed during his first official visit to Prague on Tuesday. Deputy Foreign Minister Martin Klus (Freedom and Solidarity/SaS) indicated in late May that the option of voting from abroad might be extended to include voting at diplomatic missions, although the Government Manifesto only includes the possibility of e-voting. At the moment Slovaks are only able to vote from abroad in general elections via mail. The Government in its Manifesto pledged to introduce, after considering the security risks, e-voting in elections so that all Slovak citizens will be able to vote freely regardless of where they are on Election Day.
