The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic as well as the Ministry of Defense of the Slovak Republic welcome the nomination of new NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg, a former Prime Minister of Norway.
Based on Friday’s decision of NATO, he will replace incumbent Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen as of 1 October for the next four-year term. Stoltenberg’s personal and professional qualities guarantee a strong and efficient NATO and the continuation of the transatlantic alliance.
