As of Wednesday June 10th at 7am the list of countries to which those with residence in Slovakia can travel freely is expanded to: Germany, Lichtenstein, Switzerland, Slovenia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Finland, Norway, Denmark and Iceland - in addition to the previous list of Czech Republic, Hungary and Austria. Compulsory quarantine - whether in state facilities or "smart quarantine" at home - is cancelled for those returning from these countries, but voluntary quarantine at home may be applied.Chief hygienist Jan Mikas has called on such travellers to contact a regional public health office upon their return, undergo home quarantine and have themselves tested. Travellers are advised to check the regulations in place in their country of destination before travelling.
