World Environment Day: Green hotline launched to protect the environment

In order to protect primeval forests in Slovakia, The World Wide Fund for Nature Slovakia and the civic association Prales have launched a petition to save Slovak primeval forests. They ask the government to declare the nature reserve Pralesy Slovenska (Primeval forests of Slovakia) and want the forests to have the fifth, highest degree of protection.

Meanwhile, on the occasion of the World Environment Day celebrated on 5 June, the Minister of the Environment Ján Budaj (OĽaNO) is launching a green hotline for the environmental department. This hotline should be used to anonymously report any violations of laws intended to protect the environment.
