Minneapolis arrest video shocks the Foreign Ministry

Slovak Foreign Affairs Minister Ivan Korčok was shocked to learn about Monday's arrest in Minneapolis, USA, during which an African American lost his life. "It's up to the US authorities to investigate the circumstances and draw consequences. At the same time, I trust the abilities of the US authorities, which have and will manage to deal with tensions in the society and prevent such incidents from occurring again in the future," said Korčok in response to the video, which captures the arrest of George Floyd. On the video, a police officer is seen kneeling on an unarmed, lying down, handcuffed and African American's neck for more than five minutes. The recording has spread quickly on the internet and stirred a wave of protests across the USA.
