People with permanent or temporary residence in Slovakia are now allowed to travel by air to eight European countries, namely Austria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Slovenia and Switzerland, as the permanent crisis management team on Thursday decided that non-scheduled (charter) flights with up to 20 passengers can be resumed. The measure, however, only concerns Bratislava airport for the time being. "Passengers won't be obliged to undergo quarantine upon return from a trip lasting less than 48 hours. Before landing in Slovakia, however, clients on board will have to fill out a form with their personal details," explained airport spokesperson Veronika Sevcikova. Should a passenger's stay in one of these eight countries exceed 48 hours, they will have to spend two weeks in home quarantine when they return to Slovakia.
Meanwhile, the ban on other civilian flights, i.e. scheduled ones, in Slovakia was prolonged on Thursday until June 11.
