Post election development in non parliamentary parties

The ethnic-Hungarian extra-parliamentary parties Most-Híd and Hungarian Coalition Party (SMK) are still without leaderships, both of which resigned after the unsuccessful parliamentary election in February. Most-Híd should hold its congress in late May, SMK probably in June. According to László Sólymos, interested in leading Most-Híd, the two parties should cooperate. SMK is not yet speaking openly about the negotiations.

The congress of the extra-parliamentary Christian Democratic Movement (KDH) will not take place on June 13 as planned. The only candidate running for the post now is its vice-chair Milan Majerský. Alojz Hlina, who resigned as chairman after the election, did not want to comment as to whether he would fight for the post again.

The head of the extra-parliamentary Progressive Slovakia Michal Truban stated that he would run for the post of party head, even though he originally claimed that he would not vie for it after not succeeding in the Election. The party's vice chair Irena Bihariová stated that she would also run for the post of the head right after the election.
